And, so I propose the idea of a gratitude journal (ok, Oprah, whom I totally wish I could be, came up with it). Here is the journal I made this weekend:

It is very simple and has blank pages. Basically it is a notebook I found on clearance at Old Navy a while ago and I decorated it. I just think that by adding one thing I am grateful for each day it can help me change my perspective about life, people, etc. I am hoping to make my lists longer to five things a day eventually, but I'm taking baby steps.
Ok, so today I am grateful for my Dad who made a yummy egg breakfast today...how about you?

Great idea, Kathleen. Love it!
Today I am grateful for my hardworking, dedicated, wonderfully supportive (sometimes too much), really handsome husband! With a tough week behind us and great things to look forward to he really shined this week.
What a great idea, Kathleen. I also am guilty of harping on the negative, over-analyzing situations, allowing it to eat at me. Taking the time to be grateful, is something that is often encouraged, but never carried out, but this seems like a great way to force oneself to focus on the little things that should be appreciated. Another great piece of advice and I am glad that you enjoyed your breakfast!
Kathleen, this is such a good idea. When I met with my friend a couple of weeks ago for a little Bible study, we decided to each list all the things we are thankful for. It was such a refreshing experience and we were able to put some of our worries behind us.
