Pique Your Interest Week 7

Thanks for coming to our weekly link up for our favorite Pinterest finds.

This week was all about food for me...in New Orleans you eat. and eat. and eat. But most of the food is incredibly rich, creamy, and spicy. Which was fine for a couple of days, but by day three I felt like I'd eaten bricks.

These recipes from Pinterest sound refreshingly tasty...may have to try 'em.

Spinach Pesto Grilled Cheese - many of my favorite ingredients in one meal.

While at a work dinner the other night we enjoyed fantastic bruchetta creations. This one sounds great.

I don't love potato au gratin, but squash would be great.

And to be a little healthy

Thrifted 9/20/11

It was another week of gorgeous milk glass finds at my local thrift store this week.
This Fenton hobnail basket will be my mom's birthday gift. I checked on eBay and it sells for 10 times more than what I paid...my brother thinks I should sell it, but mama will love it. She's always loved Fenton milk glass and specifically loves displaying baskets. So excited to give this to her next week.
The vase on the left is experimental Fenton that is unique and funky.
The bud vase on the right now makes a pair in my collection.
And this HUGE Fenton fluted vase is in a word stunning.

What I Made Monday 9/19/11

I'm loving handmaking 'stuff' this year.

There are lots of jokes about Pinterest inspiring people to spend 30 minutes dreaming about being crafty, but for every hour I pin items, I spend many more creating the awesome crafts I've fallen in love with.

This week featured mustard colored gifts for my mother in law.

A rosette necklace:
I can't wait to make more of these in tons of colors!!!

And a knit infinity scarf/cowl (I may need one of these for myself too).
Check out more fun handmade creations over at Conni's link up.

Would love to have this vintage Pyrex collection...and the space to store it

This will take time to happen, but maybe this is the hair of my future:

This is a very true statement for me right now:

Hoping to make this when I am in flight on an upcoming business trip:

Thrifted 9/13/11

Oh my gosh, I am so so so excited to share this week's find with you.

Three years ago I attended a conference and had a little downtime for shopping during a break and popped into Jcrew. I spotted one of the most beautiful sweaters ever. It was double breasted, great color, just gorgeous. And it was a whopping $78.00. I tried convincing myself that I needed this sweater, that without it my wardrobe would have a great big hole.
But alas, I left it in the store for someone else to love.

Then came Friday.
And the sweater was in my local Savers.
In my size.
In the chartreuse color I gushed over three long years ago.
And so, for $70.00 less, the sweater came home and filled that little hole in my wardrobe.

Welcome back to our weekly collection of Pinterest finds. This week I also started using Linky Tools, so there shouldn't be any issues and links should be visible.

On to the fun finds of the week:

Another wreath? Sure. And this one has a very easy to follow tutorial.

Beautiful free printables:

Love these and want to make a coverlet of them:

If I ever get a puppy, it would have to be an adorable Frenchie.

Thanks for playing along this week!

What I Made Monday 9/5/11

I'm linking up over at My Personal Reflections for I Made It Monday.

As a young girl my aunt taught me to knit, but it's been years since I've picked up my needles. I didn't even know if I would remember how to cast on my stitches, but with the help of YouTube, I spent a couple of days practicing basic knit and purl stitches and headed off to a local yarn shop for some advice and the most luscious baby alpaca wool. It was so smooth and cozy.
This was the little scarf I stitched up and a rosette pin to close it.

Now if only the cooler breezes would come along and I could start wearing it.

These perfect for fall earrings:

A ruffled cardigan that I think I would wear every season:

Bright bedding:

A great birthday party idea-pinwheels in milk glass. I already found one of the two vases at my thrift store this week.

I'm a beginner knitter now, so I've found some neat project ideas:
