What I Wore Wednesdays 7/28/10

Another week of outfits, this one with a whole bunch of excitement.

Wednesday 7/21/10
Worked, wanted to stay a little cool, hence the skirt, had to attend a wake in the evening, hence the jacket.
Top: Ann Taylor outlet
Jacket: Local boutique
Skirt: Kohl's (can I just say I love this skirt? Hits at the right spot on the knee, goes with almost everything, cost under $30.00...I could go on and on).
Shoes: Aerosoles
Gems:Candies64 on Etsy

Thursday, 7/22/10
Attended a work dinner for recent graduates, which was inspirational and lovely.
Top: Ann Taylor
Pants: Petite Sophisticate
Jacket: Anthropologie
Shoes: Style and Co from Macy's
Gems: Lisa Leonard Illuminate necklace and crystal earrings

Friday 7/23/10
Had to sing at a funeral, so wanted to be in a suit. And it was reeeaaally hot, so the jacket came off once I made it in the church. Pardon the poor quality, just wasn't working so well.
Everything is Ann Taylor except shoes, which are Nine West
Gems: Lisa Leonard necklace and Anthropologie earrings

Then it was time to run errands and travel to Pennsylvania for my counin's wedding. So went from dressy to casual.

Top, shorts, pink tank are all Jcrew

Saturday, 7/24/10
My cousin's wedding. Had such a great time with my family and love any excuse to get all dressy and girly.

Dress: Liberty of London for Target (been waiting to sport this dress for a while)
Earrings: GlitzGlitter on Etsy (picked these just for this day. And love them so so so much).
Shoes: Bandolino (kinda comfy, but not to dance in)
Sweater: Ann Taylor (my wear-to-the-church-before-the-wedding staple)
Bracelet: Sapphires and diamonds to match my wedding/engagement rings on my wedding day by my aunt.

Sunday, 7/25/10
Drove home. A six hour drive that shouldn't have been longer than four hours. Needless to say, kind of uncomfortable no matter what we wore.
This was taken once we returned home (hence the sweaty look).

Patterned tank: Banana Republic
Tee: Jcrew
Jeans: Calvin Klein
Necklace: Lisa Leonard
Earrings: GlitzGlitter on Etsy

Monday, 7/26
A day at work and dinner at my inlaw's home.

Dress: Bass outlet
Tank: Jockey (I wear these under most of my lower cut tops)
Shoes: Style and Co
Necklace: Local shop
Earrings: GlitzGlitter

Tuesday 7/27/10
Today we had a staff retreat, so we could dress down a bit, which is of course, totally cool.

Tee: Target
Tank: Jockey
Khakis: Gap
Earrings: Candies64 on etsy
Sandals: Clarks
Necklace: Lisa Leonard for InCourage

This has been a glasses week for me, as my contacts have not been sitting right.

What I Wore Wednesdays 7/21/10

Back for another edition of What I Wore Wednesday
You too can join in on the fun. I have to say, it makes me a little more creative than usual.

Wednesday 7/14/10

A day of work
Jacket: Old Navy (so super old)
Pants: Jones New York (equally as old)
Top: Jcrew (ok, that's new)

Love love love the petal details on the top. Never thought orange was ever a color I would wear.
The earrings are from GlitzGlitter on Etsy
And Tuesday sadly meant cleaning the bathroom. Actually, it's better to me than folding laundry (which is why it is folded in a basket next to me by my darling husband).

Some observations:

Likin' the integration of the flowers. Wasn't somtheing I ever imagined pulling off, but boy are they fun!
Oldies are sometimes the best goodies.
I should probably try to break up the method of top-cardi-skirt, but not sure how yet.
Yes, the comforter is off the bed, waaaaay to hot, so we sheet it up lately. And there's a sound machine that we're not using because of the fans.
Thanks for peeking at this week's looks. And it's never too late to join in the fun :)

What I Wore Wednesdays 7/14/10

I've decided to begin this weekly series to do a few things:
1. Remind myself of the cool outfits I have, thus needing to buy less and shop in the closet more.
2. Share outfit ideas with others.
3. Have a little more fun putting together outfits, maybe be a little more creative.

You can check out my inspiration at the Pleated Poppy Blog. Love Lindsey and her beautiful Posy pins (a couple were scattered through the week) and love her cute clothes and how she puts them together.
